The Morris Area Public School Foundation is a group of parents, alumni and community members working together with West Central Initiative to enhance and sustain the quality of education for citizens of all ages participating in programs of the Morris Area Public School District 2769. The Advisory Committee includes representatives from the community who believe Morris Area Schools have the unique advantage of offering the students an exemplary education. With your help and support, we will not only maintain but enhance the educational opportunities for Morris Area students. Over the last three years, the Foundation has provided over $340,000 toward the education of Morris Area students. Morris Area Public Schools has a long and proud history of excellence. The foundation was created to pursue 501(c)(3) non-profit funding to assure the continuation of that tradition of excellence.
The Morris Area Public School Foundation includes 3 sub-accounts. Donations can be designated to a particular fund. If no designation is made, the donation will go to the Universal Fund.
Universal Fund — The Universal Fund gives the Advisory Committee the most flexibility in designating funds where most needed.
Morris Area Scholarship Fund — Donations to this fund, along with money earned from endowed memorials, annual car raffle and phone-a-thon are awarded annually as scholarships to graduating seniors. Our mission is to provide scholarships to all qualified students to help pay for higher education.
Endowment — This is the gift that keeps on giving. The principal is left untouched, while the interest will provide for grants and other needs.
